What was missed:
So a lot happened some of it games and some of it life I know that some people care about the games and some just the life and for others all of it is good but I'm going to split this (really long post) into part 1 (life) and part 2 (games) so that people can just read what they want.
Part 1:
The first thing that was missed was a gardening event, there used to be another house behind my in laws house but a few years ago they bought it, took the house down (it had a lot of issues) and turned the lot into a garden. They have a lot of sweet potatoes growing there but some other things too. So we went out to help harvest them and it was a lot of work by the end of the hour or so my legs were shaking (physical labor what is this?!?) but all in all it was fun and interesting it had rained in the morning so the ground was really muddy but that sticky clay mud so that was real fun to try to get off my shoes. The next day we went to a friends wedding and in Japan the way weddings work is first there is one party which is the ceremony and reception then you leave and go to a 2nd location for a 2nd party then there is a 3rd party which is at another location. My wife went to all three but I only went to the 2nd party. It was nice and close friends performed dances or songs for everyone else, my wife and her friends played a song for the couple that was pretty cool. I was the only international person there and so there was some interest from people wanting to talk and speak in English. Overall it was a good time but I was tired by the time this party was over so I headed home.
Last there was a special lighting event at local shrines so me and my wife decided to go check it out. We were going to meet a friend first and did so at a place called "canal city" which is basically a mall. There was some concert going on with a group that is all girls but there thing is to dress and act like boys, something like that. It was kinda crazy and ridiculous.
So we got our tickets and started going around to these shrines to see what they looked like some where okay and others were really cool but rather than explain I'll just let you look at the pictures.
Part 2:
I had found a super "Book Off" store in Tenjin and when I went there the name was fitting they had a lot of games, movies and toys when the regular book offs just have a handful. I was really excited to see the SFC and Gameboy games. I took sometime and checked them all out and finally decided to buy 4 Gameboy games, Pokemon Green (which we never got in the states), Navy Blue 90, Warioland and Mario Picross 2 In the box. I also got Guilty Gear X in the box for the GBA.
Then I picked up some SFC games which included Pilotwings in the box, Front Mission, Tecmo Super Bowl, Fire Pro Wrestling X, Super Baseball 2020, and Donkey Kong 3. Overall it was a pretty good haul and I think it was about $20 or so.
A few days later I went to a regular Book Off and found the King of Fighters EX 2 for the GBA so I picked that up it was a little pricey at $15 but it was complete and is a good game.
I was able to find a Gameboy pocket that is rare in Japan and not released in the states, it has the original Gameboy color (as in "color" not Gameboy Color the system) design so I picked that up.
I also got Final Fantasy 6 (which is Final Fantasy 3 in the states), a Super Gameboy and GB Genjin (which is Bonks Adventure in the states) for Gameboy. All that for $6 not bad. I might go back and pick up some more stuff, like a Sega Saturn.
I also went back to one of the recycle shops here and picked up a few games I had talked about early on in this blog, Lunar 2 and Samurai Spirits for the Neo Geo CD (turned out the wrong game was inside :-/) as well as Final Fight Guy on the SFC in the box, Blue Seed on Saturn and Bio Hazard: Code Veronica for the Dreamcast total price at check out $5. I might sell Final Fight guy its rare and I could get somewhere between $40-$85. Finally I got Super Ghouls and Ghosts from another recycle shop for $3.
