Happy New Year

New years in Japan is like Thanksgiving in the US, your family gets together and you eat a lot of food. My wife had to work but I spent the day with her family and it was nice.

Other than that I haven't really been doing too much, I did have dinner with a new friend which was nice. I had a plum wine from Okinawa that was suppose to be sweet. Well it was but it tasted like maple syrup, it was like drinking waffles or something. It was a real nice time though and we will probably get together again. Then I went out the other day and saw the Canadian guy but we didn't really do much. He's really on a budget so its not very exciting when I see him.

Past that I have been keeping busy by posting a lot of things on eBay, doing the html coding to make it look good and I have already sold a game for $50, I only paid $5 so I was pretty excited about that. The other day I bought a few games nothing special though I did complete the Pokemon collection on the original GameBoy with Pokemon Blue. I also got Magic Ray Earth 2 and Nemesis for the GameBoy the only problem is I already had Nemesis. I took a gamble I couldn't remember if I had Nemesis or Nemesis 2, turns out I had Nemesis and now I have 2 of them. I also picked up a Saturn game and Adventure Island for the Super Famicom.

The best part was there was some kind of glitch at check out and I ended up only paying for half of what the total should have been. The clerk noticed and tried to ring it up again but it glitches again and they said oh well and gave it to me for that price. So I was able to write off the Nemesis game in my head.

Monday I have training for a new job as a English teacher at a company that places ALT teachers. Should be interesting the pay for the training days isn't great but I didn't think I would get paid for the training so I'm looking at it like a bonus :-).
