Games, Comics and Friends

Last week sometime I made my way to an arcade where I sat down to play this game:
Its Persona 4 Arena The Ultimax: Ultra Suplex Hold, which is not out yet on consoles though I believe it is due out in the next 2 months here in Japan. It a 2D fighting game which I kind of like. I was able to put in my $1 and play for about 25 minutes going though the arcade mode which I was able to beat.
I wanted to play Street Fighter Ultra but those machines are always being played and the average game (which is head to head) is only about 2 minutes so it can get pretty expensive. Plus I would get my butt kicked so yea.

I don't know if I mentioned it before but I am working on a comic with another artist here in Japan. His stuff is really good and he has been trying to get published. By trying I mean he has actually been to publishers and had meetings about his work, not just him sitting at home saying "hey I would like this to happen". I am working mostly on the story and character design while he is doing the artwork. After the hard copies of his work are done we will both work to put it in the computer. Right now the story is about 1/3 of the way done (maybe I should say started because I know there will be rewrites as there have already been some).  Im pretty excited to get it finished as I would like to share the idea and characters, Im not thinking it will get published but its fun to work on anyway.

The other day while I was out with my comic buddy, who's name is Daichi I ran in to my old Japanese teacher. It was a surprise and we sat down to have coffee, though I had tea as I don't like coffee. We talked for about 1 hour and it was nice to catch up I hadn't seen him for about 4 months or so.

Afterward me and Daichi went to a burger shop which is pretty awesome. On fridays they have all you can eat french fries but we went on a Saturday so maybe next time. The picture doesn't do the size of it justice but it was really huge, it would be on the big size in America too. We also got some mozzarella sticks, though I think it was a different cheese inside but it was still good. I will definitely be going back to that place.
I also bought some games, last month I finally pulled myself out of the red in my video game ebay "business". It was actually right on my predicted time frame of 6 months so that was nice. I still have a closet full of games (around 300 items or so) and as of now its as if someone just gave me all of them for free. Heck yes I want a closet full of games for nothing! But I will keep selling them.

Anyway this weeks pick ups include a boxed copies of Wave Race 64 ($1) for the N64, Ikari Warriors ($6) and After Burner ($3) both for the Famicom, Game & Watch 2 ($3) for the Game Boy and another copy of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons ($4) for the Game Boy Color.
I only got one Super Famicom game and that was Rockman Soccer ($1) I didn't really have too much interest in the game other than to complete the Rockman collection on the SFC but everywhere I had seen the game they wanted $6-$10 for it and that was just crazy. I also picked up Rayman ($5) on the Dreamcast. On the Saturn I got another copy of Vampire Savior (Only $2) and Steam Gear Mash ($2).
