Painting and Games Update

This week has been kinda slow, I did finally paint something though. It came out okay but there are somethings I don't really like about it that I could fix but likely won't. Its Oil on a F6 canvas (which is about 13x9.5 inches). Overall I think it was okay considering the last time I panted was in 2011. I don't really know what I'm going to do with it as my wife doesn't really care for it but there it is.

The other day I went out and was going to look for someplace to sit and eat but due to time decided to go to KFC. They have a chicken pot pie that looked pretty good so I wanted to try that anyway. So I ordered it and sat down, what did I think of the pot pie? On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 3 maybe a 4. It just wasn't that good there wasn't much chicken though it did taste like all the 11 herbs and spices were present giving it that KFC taste. The biggest issue I had with it was that the breading or pie was only on the top the sides and bottom was just a plastic container. So it was more like soup with bread on top. It reminded me of that Seinfeld episode about the muffin tops, only this time I was left wondering where the stump was. ( Top of the muffin..TOO YOU!! haha classic, love that show. anyway...)

Lastly I have some game updates, I decided that after looking at some of the going rates on eBay that I would pick up one of the games I saw at Mandarake and look into reselling it. This is by far the most I have spent for a game since I got here. The game I got was Steam Heart's for the Saturn it is a shoot-em up style game with mature (and really odd) themes. The game also came with the spine card (bonus points if you know what that means) which will increase the resell value. I had done a review on this game for my Saturn blog a while back. Anyway the game cost me $47 but goes for about 90 to 160 on eBay. Of course being a collector now that I have it I don't want to sell it....but I must... gah.
At the same time I picked up Pocket Fighter for the Saturn for $8. At first I was going to pass but the going rate for that one was about $20 and I really like that game so I picked it up, it also came with the spine card.
Also while I was at that store I noticed that two SFC games I wanted (but were crazy expensive one being Wild Guns at $189 and the other was Doremi Fantasy at $230) were gone so they must have sold. Also the Neo Geo AES that used to be $199 is now $230 :( ha boo.

Then yesterday I made my way to my favorite recycle shop and picked up a couple more Saturn games, Crimewave and Daytona USA CCE. The Daytona USA game was the later released one and is compatible (or was) with the X-Band SegaNet in Japan. With the price being $1 per game I figured what the heck might as well.
Finally I ordered 2 game related items online as christmas presents to myself (cuz you know, I deserve it). One is pretty basic but I'm still excited for it and the other is something that I have wanted for a long time and I am very excited for that. I'm not going to ruin the surprise just yet, you will just have to wait like me.

  1. painting looks a lot better than when i first saw it. all i have to say is "boobies" *with weird mark hand gesture* i like the colors though. Eleanor would say "ornsh" (which is how she says orange) very vibrant. you should see if shoko's dad will let you use the cafe as a gallery or something and sell your work for some dolla dolla bills - or yeah yeah yeah yeeeennn.
