Still Busy

I have still been working on the website and doing a lot of work in general thats why the posts have moved to a once a week schedule.

So lets see Im going to split this post up in to things going on and then later a games update that way you can choose what you want to read about.

Last week I went to McDonalds and finally ordered the Mega Muffin. I think I talked about it here before but to recap its a english muffin with sausage, cheese, sausage, egg and then 2 pieces of bacon. It turned out that there was also ketchup on it which totally killed it for me. I actually wasn't even able to finish it due to a combo of the ketchup and that general killing of my health and well being.
A few days later I went to a Belgium Beer Feast with my wife and some of her co-workers. I don't drink but there was some good food. I give the fries a 10 but the fried shrimp and fries gets a 20, we also got a big plater of sausages and shared them.
It was fun and there was this guy passed out by our table.
A day or two later I was at the post office sending somethings I had sold on ebay when I noticed the clerk helping me was wearing the same watch my dad has. You know the big casio one he has had for 30 years after that I headed to Tenjin and saw this guy crossing the street with the same wicked old cart that my dad has. My mind was blown first I have never seen anyone else with that watch and then this cart I mean talk about random and it was the exact cart.
I had some time to kill so I went over to the arcade going in I saw the poster for Street Fighter IV ULTRA which is not out on consoles yet.
I made my way over to that section. They had about 10 linked systems and a lot of them were in use. I really love just hanging out at the arcade people don't just play they watch others and its just generally a really fun time. Its a real community feeling, the only down side is if you get beat you have to pay again and these machines were really making money for the operators.
I like this arcade because they have new and old games I was actually shocked to see that there was a match between two guys on linked Street Fighter II cabinets. Talk about retro, I had to watch a few matches of that.

Anyway the reason I was in tenjin was because I was meeting my wife for dinner so I made my way over to meet her. We went to the Italian place and this time we asked if we could have just the sauce that goes on the chicken dish to dip some bread in. They said no problem and made it, oh my god it was awesome. We also got a pizza and some fried pork things (which are awesome).

When we got home this is what I saw when I got to the top of the stairs.

Okay now for the games, I bought a few games from the recycle shop. She had got some Super Famicom games in and I ended up grabbing Super Donkey Kong, Yoshis Island, Double Dragon, Super Mario World and WildTrax which are all games I already had. The Super Mario World was in better condition then the one I had and I wanted WildTrax so I could do the over clock mod on it.
I also picked up Fire Emblem (the version I didn't have) on the Super Famicom, Fatal Fury Special in the box for the Game Gear and Grandia for the Saturn. Normally the games are $1 each but I got a deal and she only charged me .75 per game so that was awesome.
Later in the week I went was in Tenjin and picked up Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story III ($5) for the Saturn, which is one of the other games that uses the Twin Sticks. I also had been playing Advanced Wars on the Game Boy Advance so I picked up Game Boy Wars ($2.50) on the original Game Boy to give that a try. I actually have this game back in the States but obviously thats back in the States.
Then I picked up a super rare item, the Toy's R Us exclusive skeleton yellow Game Boy Light. A little background for those who don't know, the Game Boy Light was only released in Japan and it came out after the Game Boy Pocket and right before the Game Boy Color. The US and Europe ended up only getting the Game Boy Color as it was thought there would be no interest in the Game Boy Light. The system is basically a Game Boy pocket with a screen that lights up for play in the dark, the light is this light blue color which is a little odd but it totally gets the job done. The body is the same as the GB Pocket except the GB Light takes 2 AA batteries and the GB Pocket took 2 AAA batteries. Anyway the GB Lights are rare but this version is super rare. I paid $100 for it but should be able to get at least $300 for it and if I'm lucky it could go as high as $650.

I also picked up Powerful Pro Yakkyu while I was out to give the system a test run.
Then today I made the trip to Hard Off and EcoBook, at Hard Off I picked up that copy of Rockman Zero 2 I saw last time for $4, now the box I had will get some use.  I also found Pokemon Red ($2) on the Game Boy, Rushing Beat: Rival Turf ($5) and Panzer Dragoon Zewi ($1) for the Saturn.
Looking in the hardware section I found a Neo Geo Pocket the original black and white version not the color version that the US got. I ended up passing on it but it was still cool to see. I found another white Saturn controller and picked that up to complete my white Saturn as I now have two white controllers.
Then I found a unopened boxed set of replacement paper for the Game Boy Printer, I mean how many boxed versions of this can there really be out there. I mean I had the Printer already so I had to get this and it was only $1 so yea.
I then headed over to EcoBook they had got some more boxed Super Famicom games in but the prices were a little high for those games. They had Super Mario RPG, Twin Bee and Zelda but like I said they were a little high with prices around $7 to $9 each. I did look around but in the end I only got Super Famicom games. First up was a boxed versions of Donald Duck in Maui Mallard ($6.78) and Super Chinese Fighter ($1.78).
On the loose game front I got Super V.G. ($.48), Valken ($1.78), Tiny Toon Adventures ($1.78), King of Monsters ($1.78) and Super Aleste ($8.78).
Finally I picked up The Amazing Spider-Man: Leathal Foes ($50) complete in the box which was only released in Japan, I should be able to get about $200 for it.
On the way back I stopped at a Book Off in Hakkata and found Street Fighter Zero Fighters Generation ($15.50) for the PS2. This Collection has Street Fighter Zero, Zero 2,  Zero 2 Prime (Prime was an update to the arcade version with some minor tweaks),  Zero 3 and Gem Fighter (which is Pocket Fighter on the Saturn).
