I have been working a lot lately on the website for my job (english school), so sorry for the lack of updates.
Its been really nice lately but other than that not much has been going on, like I said I have been working on a website for most of the past week. I did order pizza delivery from Dominos which was kind of exciting as a first time thing. It tastes the same as back home, but the sizes... well there not the same. I ordered 2 medium pizzas because there was a deal buy one deluxe get one free. Honestly the medium is more like a small back home but there is nothing like coding and eating pizza.
The deluxe has 5 toppings so how much do you think that hand sized pizza would cost? $10, $15, it couldn't be $20 could it? Nope not $20, actually its $28. Like I said I got 2 for that price so it was more like $14 each not great but not really that bad. But if I was just getting one then that would be just crazy talk.
I did pick up a few games over the week too (of course). Lets see, I got 3 Super Famicom games that I already had in the closet but on 2 of them the price was too good to pass up. The first was Street Fighter II and the other was Street Fighter II Turbo both in the box and both just $1 each. The other game was a boxed copy of Super Metroid ($22) which I picked up for myself as I really like the box art. I had just found a loose copy last week that I bought for $2.50 and have already sold it for $20 so I figured it was more like a trade, plus I have my old loose copy that I can now sell in place of this one.
Yesterday I went to Tenjin and picked up a copy of Mother ($12) in the box (but no instructions) for the Famicom and a loose copy of Rockman 7 ($8) for the Super Famicom.
I then went to another shop where I found I.Q. Final which was the only I.Q. game I didn't have and as it was just $1 I finally picked it up, I had seen it but passed up till now as it was closer to the $3 price range. Then I was surprised and really happy to find a loose copy of Rockman World 5 for the Game Boy. I was really happy to see it was only $2.50 as most Game Boy games have been going for $5 to $10 which is crazy though this game is one where that price would have been a fair price. But I was really happy because this was the only Rockman game I was missing for the Game Boy as I have 1 though 4 back in the states.
I popped it in to my Game Boy pocket and fired it up but then I noticed the start button wasn't responding at all. So I figured lets open it up and see whats going on.
Once I was in there it actually looked pretty good but I cleaned the pads and the buttons anyway, this also gave me a chance to do some general cleaning as well. Afterwards I put it back together and popped in the game. Once it fired up I tested the start button and bang I worked just fine, so it must have just been a dirty contact. Anyway this game is awesome I highly recommend it if you like the NES Mega Man Games.
